Just when you thought I had disappeared...

Hey there, folks. Hope you are all doing marvelously. Sorry about the lack of posts lately. I had come down with the "Blog-writing-impediment-due-to-over-busy-ness-and-too-much-computer" syndrome. Whatever that means. :) But hey! Hope you enjoy the new design. So... instead of boring you with a huge long post, here is a summary of what has been happening with me:

-sent out my October newsletter just recently
-Adrian, my dear friend and mentor was up from the Dominican was up for a few weeks on furlough (picked him up a day or two after the snowstorm in Buffalo - very cool)
-I had the privilege of attending and helping out at the 1st anniversary celebration of iCAN, our church's ministry to new immigrants in Brampton - what a wonderful night!
-got my international driver's permit (not sure if this is completely necessary in the Dominican, but to drive around legally after the first few weeks, it is supposed to be necessary...)
-had my driver's license changed to remove the "corrective lenses" restriction (wahoo!! officialy 20/20 - praise God!!)
-hired on extra staff at work and we are doing training to prepare for my departure on January 10th
-went to visit my Uncle John and Aunt Liz at First Free Evangelical Church in Rockford, Illinois (what a wonderful visit: spiritually and physically refreshing - very cool!!) They are such a wonderful couple, and I love them dearly.
-sat in on a great message from the Word last night about the Father's heart for the lost (wow, I think we as Christians should really seek the Lord and cry out for him to break our hearts for the lost as His heart breaks - O to truly have a heart like the Father's...)
-and I finally found the resolve to post on my blog

May God bless you and I hope I can post more often. Maybe I should stick to shorter ones, eh? Keep up the good fight of faith, my friends. And please live life as though there is no tomorrow. May we be Jesus' hands and feet extended. Have a marvelous week!

Yours in Christ,

Ryan
