Being Full of The Holy Spirit
Greetings to all my faithful readers. One again it has been a while since I have written, and much has been happening. Several teams have visited us here in Nagua, we have been meeting regularly with the pastors, and have a very exciting July and August ahead of us. Several weeks ago, I was asked to speak at a conference in a local church about the Holy Spirit. Having just finished one of my seminary courses, I was overflowing with some precious insights on the Spirit and His work in the church. It was a Friday night, and the church was full of expectation… and the Spirit moved mightily. As the time drew close to the sharing of the message, there was a beautiful unity of the Spirit. The Lord put a song in my heart to sing to start the message… and almost immediately, one of the leaders stood up and led the church in that very song! What a wonderful confirmation. I spoke on being continually filled with the Spirit as Paul teaches us in Ephesians 5. Every day we should seek to be filled afresh with more of the Spirit, so we can reflect Christ, preach Christ, and walk in the power of Christ here in this world. There was such a hunger there amongst the Dominicans that attended the service, and many came to the altar to seek a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit in their lives. It was a very special time of receiving a fresh touch of God’s presence. May we all pursue this filling every day – there is nothing better than to be with Jesus, and being continually filled with His presence.
