What else can I tell you? My family and friends put on a beautiful going away get together last Wednesday. It was incredible, amazing and so encouraging. What a great privilege we have to partner together in God's work. Though some stay, and others go, we are all to play a vital part in God's kingdom building. I have been blessing with so many supportive family and friends. Wow. Thank-you Jesus!!!
Another few tibits about where I am going. So, we will be working along the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, in three provinces. Stretching from Río San Juan in the West to Samaná in the East. The population of the three provinces is approximately 220,000-250,000. Agriculture consists of cocao and plantain. There is also fishing and raising of cattle in the area. We will be working in the towns and the backroads villages. Wherever God leads us. We also hope to head into many isolated areas. Please keep on praying! Here are a couple photos of some of the areas where we will be going. Feel free to ask questions in the comments as well, and I would be happy to answer them.
This is a house of a lady who bought this property thinking it was (because it was advertised as) a beautiful oceanfront property. It is actually floating on about 8 ft of garbage. The house rests on tires, which keep it above the garbage. The lady is actually quite ill. I believe she has cancer - I know her sister from the other town, Sosua, where I worked before (about 1 to 1.5 hours west of where this photo is). Please pray for her!
This is house in a village that is built on top of a mangrove swamp. You think it looks wet now?
In the rainy season all the homes flood. Doesn't sound nice at all.

And here is my good friend and pastor Adrian Thomas, with one of the local Spanish pastors.
Ok. All for now. Dream big everyone! Hope you have a marvelous Christmas if I don't talk to you before that. May God bless you richly in all you do!
