Hey folks! (for those of you who are actually still looking at my blog once in awhile - thanks! - as you can tell, I am not being over-diligent in updates - my apologies).
This will be a quickie - but I promise that I will fill you in some more. Got back from the Urbana missions convention last week - it was amazing!! Was asked to preach at a Spanish church today - what a blessing to worship with my Spanish brothers and sisters! ¡QuĂ© bueno!
And yes, I am leaving for the Dominican this Wednesday. My mum is going to drive me down to Buffalo, where I shall bid North America 'adieu' y adios for about a year. I think a bunch of the fam is going down. That's pretty neat. Am I ready to go? Well, I am very excited indeed! January 10 has finally come, praise the Lord!
Packing? I'll do it the day before I go. Or the morning of. I have been having a great time meeting with people over coffees. I don't usually drink this much coffee, but it seems like "let's grab a coffee" is a culturally acceptable way of meeting here in Canada. :)
God has been soooo good. He certainly provides for all our needs. Please pray that I get an extra piece of luggage on the plane (nada es imposible con mi Dios).
Hope I can post a bunch more before I leave. I will plan on it. So get ready! Gotta publish December's newsletter too! Wow, I am a bit behind.
Oh yes - one more piece of news before I sign off - the team (the thomases and larsons) has officially moved to the new area of Nagua a week or so ago. Talked with Adrian the other night on his Dominican cell - sounded like he was talking with a sock in his mouth. Twas harder to understand him than spanish... :)
May we be unquenchable worshipers always of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Buenas noches.
