Pensamientos y Imagenes (Thoughts and Images...)

Greetings all in the Name of Jesus!

I know it has been such awhile, but, as the saying goes, rather late than never! The last few months have been a blur - I am astonished at how fast they have gone by. Wow! I was thinking to myself lately, "Man, I love my job!!" I mean, serving the Lord is awesome in and of itself - but there have been so many bonuses - for example: rice and beans (call me crazy, but I love 'em), working with incredible people (the Dominicans are wonderful people), the language (Spanish is amazing), riding our bikes hundreds of miles through rice fields, over mountains and rivers, and through big mud puddles to meet with pastors and minister in their churches, and so much more. At times it has been tiring, I admit - but always, always worth it. The hard days have come, but the Lord has always been faithful and given me the strength and wisdom to deal with these times.

I was preaching Sunday night on the love of God - a distinguishing characteristic of the body of Christ, and how the church is to be the fullness of God, the manifestation of His character here on earth, His body. Wow! Pretty awesome! And as we pour ourselves out in unhindered, extravagant love to the Master, and begin to comprehend the immeasurable proportions of His love towards us, we can effectively be a channel of His love into the world. A continuous overflow! Last night, Adrian preached in a united service about our Jesus, the yoke remover and yoke destroyer. That our Lord has come to remove and destroy all yokes: spiritual, emotional, and physical (including sickness). He has also given us, as His children, the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Jesus' power and authority working through us to do what He did when He was on the earth. Praise God! These are super-exciting truths!!

I am planning to return to North America on the 17th of December, but we are planning a trip to Pico Duarte, the highest mountain in the Caribbean (about 4 hours from us in Nagua), before I leave. It will be at least a two day hike, and we will have to stay in tents on the mountain (it is just over 3km high). I am very excited about this trip. :) Adventure!

Without being too wordy, I will leave you with some photos over the last few months. Since a picture is worth a thousand words... this blog is probably worth about 20 blogs... :) :)

God bless you all! Much love and prayers and blessings!
