Musical Worship Practice
Last night we had a heavenly worship practice in the mission house, preparing some song sets for the women's conference next weekend. Who said music worship practices are supposed to be technical only, merely passing through the songs mechanically? We worshiped our hearts out. The practice/rehearsal should be a knitting together of hearts as one instrument to give an extravagant offering to God, just the same as our physical instruments and voices meld together in one song for the Saviour. Too often music rehearsals focus on the mechanics and neglect the spiritual aspect of our worship to God. If our worship is primarily "in spirit and in truth", then should that, cultivating a group attitude of wonder, love, and adoration to the Lord, not be our priority before the music even begins?
